Celebrate Black Birders Week 〰️
American Kestrel
Christine Cummings and Todd Secki will bring some of the birds from their Killingworth rehabilitation center - A Place Called Hope. Among the birds that might come for the visit are an American Kestrel, North America’s smallest falcon; a Great Horned Owl, a Common Raven, and a Red-tailed Hawk. During the presentation Christine and Todd will share stories of each particular bird’s plight and how they came to be non-releasable, along with each specific species’ biology. And they will offer simple solutions on what each one of us can do to help lessen conflicts with wildlife in our own backyards.
