Climate change is the biggest threat to our birds, says National Audubon. To combat the problem, Audubon says we need to dramatically reduce carbon emissions and offset what we cannot eliminate. for instance by maintaining healthy forests or supporting sustainable agricultural practices.
Robert J. Klee, Ph.D., J.D., will give us his perspective of the local effects of climate change and present a case for state and local climate policy and collective next steps.
Dr. Klee is a lecturer at the Yale School of the Environment and the Yale Law School and a former commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
