Eastern redbud (Cercis canadensis) is a native tree which grows 15 to 30 feet tall. it is one of the first trees to bloom in spring with stunning pink to reddish purple flowers. Its nectar attracts butterflies, specialized bees, and other pollinators and it is a larval host to many species of Lepidoptera. It will grow in full sun to partial shade and is deer resistant.
