Global and Local Threats to Seabirds

Lunchtime with the Stewart B McKinney National Wildlife Refuge interns

The Friends of Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge and Menunkatuck Audubon are hosting several virtual presentations about wildlife produced by the refuge summer seasonal interns.

Join us on Wednesday, August 4 from 12-1pm to hear Adam Hammershoy, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intern, talk about the many threats – both global and local - that seabirds face. The presentation will feature seabirds from around the world, as well as species from Connecticut.  You will learn about what a seabird is, their special adaptations, threats that they face, what is being done to protect these birds, and what you can do to help!
